ww2dbaseFleet escort ship F6 was commissioned into service in 1936. In Oct 1938, she was decommissioned for conversion into a fleet tender. The conversion was completed in Sep 1939 and she was recommissioned as Königin Louise. In May 1941, she participated in Operation Rheinübung, which culminated in the Battle of Denmark Strait and the demise of battleship Bismarck. In Oct 1943, she was decommissioned for overhaul and repairs at Rotterdam in the Netherlands. In the fall of 1944, she was towed from Rotterdam to the island of Borkum near the German-Dutch border. She was sunk by USAAF B-24 bombers at Wilhelmshaven, Germany in Mar 1945.
