ww2dbaseKonstantin Vladov Muraviev (Константин Владов Муравиев) was a leading member of the Agrarian People's Union who became the Prime Minister of Bulgaria near the end of WW2. With a pro-Western agenda, he abolished the anti-Semitic laws set by his predecessor. He also switched Bulgaria's sides in the war, declaring war on Germany on 8 Sep 1944. After only a week in office, however, his government was overthrown by Communists. He avoided execution by the new Communist government and lived until 1965.

Hi guys,
I am sorry but the info here is wrong:
K. Muraviev was sentenced to life inprisonment by the Communist People's Court in Febr.1945 and eventually released in 1955. But the Reds quickly 'compensated' him: next year he was arrested again and send to the Gulag-type concentration camp in Belene on Danube. He survived there till 1961, to live free only 4 years after.
Cheers,
E. Paunov
