ww2dbaseHarrison Forman was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. in 1904. As a photographer and journalist, he worked for the publications The New York Times and National Geographic. In 1937, he served as the Tibetan technical expert on Frank Capra's 1937 adventure film "Lost Horizon". During WW2, he worked primarily in China, publishing many books and capturing thousands of photographs. He passed away in New York, United States in 1978. His wife, Sandra Carlyle Forman, gifted many of his writings and photographs to the libraries of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1987.
