WW2DB's 20th Anniversary
This year we celebrate a big one: WW2DB's 20th anniversary! This web project was started as a way to get some personal notes on WW2 out on the web, but it very quickly evolved into something with encyclopedic goals. Ambitious? Yes, it certain was! Have we come close? Not even close! But we sure learned quite a bit about the conflict during the process, and we hope we were able to successfully share some of the things that we learned with the site visitors.
As usual, we include a quick year-end tally of a few things at the site:
- 1,150 biographies (+13)
- 337 events (+1)
- 43,918 timeline entries (+598)

- 470 books reviewed (+1)
- 28,579 photos (+274)
