Hitler to be Removed from G8 Host's Honorary Citizen List
During the Nazi period, more than 4,000 German communities made Adolf Hitler an honorary citizen of their towns and cities. Most of them revoked the honor in the years after the war, but the town of Bad Doberan on the Baltic coast, which spent more time forgetting the past under the Communist leadership than anything else. Now, two months away from hosting the annual G8 summit, Hitler's membership on the town's honor roll is creating a small stir. The town council is to hold a special meeting in the near future to officially remove Hitler, considered to be one of the most evil in human history, from the list.
