IF ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR IVAN, ITS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME:

LOOKS LIKE OUR GERMAN NCO, IS ARMED WITH A CAPTURED PPSh-41 W/71 ROUND DRUM MAGAZINE. THE GERMANS CAPTURED LARGE NUMBERS OF THESE WEAPONS, AND CONVERTED THEM TO FIRE THE 9mm
ROUND THESE WERE KNOWN AS THE MP-41(r)OTHERS WERE NOT CONVERTED AND KNOWN AS THE MP-17(r)
FIRING THE 7.63x25mm MAUSER, IN PLACE OF THE RUSSIAN 7.62x25 TOKAREV.

MOVIE OF INTEREST "CROSS OF IRON" (1977) VETERAN NCO ROLF STEINER(JAMES COBURN)FIGHTS
ON THE RUSSIAN FRONT, THE WEAPON HE CARRIES IS A PPSh-41.

IN ANY WAR, A SOLDIER CAN GET A CHANCE TO CAPTURE AN ENEMIES WEAPON. IN VIETNAM, I CARRIED A CHINESE CHI-COM TYPE 56/AK-47 IT WAS SIMPLE, RELIABLE AND DEADLY IT FIRED THE 7.62x39mm. BUT THIS WAS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, MUCH YOUNGER.

I THANK THE EDITOR/WW2DB FOR ALLOWING ME TO LEAVE MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES.
