Info on above photo:
An early model Grumman TBF, February 1942
aircraft carried early WWII markings, this
model Avenger carried two sets of flight
controls,that were later deleted after the 50th production model built.
Aircrew in photo,were from Torpedo Squadron
8, stationed aboard the USS Hornet.
