LOOKS LIKE THESE TROOPS HAVE BEEN ISSUED THE M1943 STEEL HELMET, THE SOLDIER'S BEHIND HIM HAS THE CHICKEN TYPE WIRE NETTING TO ADD FOLIAGE TO CAMOUFLAGE AND BREAK UP THE HELMET OUTLINE.
I DON'T SEE ANY RANK OR DECORATIONS, THE GERMAN SOLDIER WORE HIS DECORATIONS AND OTHER COMBAT AWARDS ON HIS UNIFORM, WHERE THE ALLIES EXCEPT THE RUSSIANS WORE THEIR DECORATIONS ONLY ON DRESS UNIFORMS.
I CAN'T TELL IF THE SOLDIER'S ARE WEARING THE SPLINTER TYPE CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN JACKET OR NOT, LATER DURING THE WAR, LUFTWAFFE PERSONNEL RECEIVED ARMY REVERSIBLE WINTER JACKETS.
I'M TAKING A GUESS HERE, THAT THESE TROOPS ARE PART OF THE LUFTWAFFE FIELD DIVISIONS.
HANS IS CARRYING HIS MG42, ENTRENCHING TOOL
(SHOVEL) AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE A CLEANING KIT FOR THE MG42, THE SOLDIER BEHIND HIM, IS CARRYING AN EXTRA BELT OF 7.92mm AMMO AND THE LAST MAN IS ARMED W/THE K98 BOLT-ACTION RIFLE AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE A HOLSTER FOR HIS SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.
TROOPS HAVE BEEN ISSUED GAITERS, OR SHORT ANKLE BOOTS THESE BECAME MORE COMMON TOWARDS THE END OF THE WAR. IF ANYBODY HAS MORE INFO POST IT HERE.

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill
