Famous WW2 Quote
"Among the men who fought on Iwo Jima, uncommon valor was a common virtue."Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, 16 Mar 1945

COAST TO COAST:
One C-69 flew from the Lockheed factory Burbank, California to Washington D.C. in six hours and fifty-eight minutes.
Did you know that the C-69 could fly faster than a Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero. Today its hard to even imagine that aircraft at that time were designed without the aid of any hi-tech computers just slide-rule and brains and lot's and lot's of experience.
