"No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. You win the war by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country!"George Patton, 31 May 1944

MOBILE WARFARE: IN THE SLOW LANE
The Lance-Corporal is armed with the G-41
semi-automatic rifle, but carries Mauser
98K, 5-round ammo pouches this is correct
the G-41 used the Mauser 7.92mm round in a
fixed ten round magazine.
Looks like he's carrying a large bread bag and canteen.
The soldier would use two Mauser 5-round stripper clips to load his weapon. The G-41
could not use the rifle grenade-firing device
but, was issued with a bayonet and could use the ZF4 Telescopic scope.
