Outstanding website. I write testimonials to be included in a tabloid given to World War 2 Veterans who attend groups (Honor Flights) to visit their Memorial in Washington, D.C. at no cost to the Veteran. All expenses are paid for by donations from individuals and companies. Central Prairie RC&D is a non-profit 501c3 dedicated to improving the life quality and happiness of World War II Veterans. We thank them for their dedication and service to this Great Country.
Keep up the good work.

My grandfather was on the USS Lubbock in WWII.
He piloted one of the amphibious attack boats that were brought troops onto the beach...he is 91 and still alive living in Salem, Or as of July 2017. Are you aware of any reunion for the crew of the Lubbock?
Thank you,
Kim

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

My work involves doing testimonial pages for World War II Veterans. The veteran Herbert Lee Spain Jr., recently was able to go on one of our "Honor Flights" at no cost to him through Central Prairie RC&D, and this photo of his ship will be included on his tabloid with your permission.
