- German President Paul von Hindenburg met with Adolf Hitler during which Hitler demanded Chancellorship. Hindenburg offered Hitler Chancellorship which had no power to dissolve the Reichstag (thus forcing the Nazi Party to work with rival parties), or the Vice Chancellor position under Franz von Papen. ww2dbase [Adolf Hitler | CPC]
