Third Moscow Conference

ww2dbaseThis meeting in late 1943 was attended by Cordell Hull of the United States, Anthony Eden of Britain, and Vyacheslav Molotov of Russia. The representatives of the three nations released the Joint 4-Power Declaration (the fourth nation being China, absent but agree to adhere to the conclusion of the meeting) to establish a United Nations to maintain peace in the post-war world. Out of this conference also came the agreement an European commission on German surrender terms, the plans for restoring the sovereignty of Austria, and the matters regarding the recent Italian surrender.
