ww2dbaseThe Canon de 75 CA modèle 1940 Schneider anti-aircraft guns were designed by the French firm Schneider-Creusot (forerunner of the modern-day firm Schneider Electric) starting in 1928. They entered French Army and Navy service in the mid-1930s; while both services used them as anti-aircraft weapons, the French Army also used them as anti-tank guns even though these guns lacked effective armor piercing shells. They were also exported to the Swiss Army in the 1930s, where they were known under the designation Canon DCA 7.5 cm 1938. A number of them were captured by the Germans after the conquest of France.Source: Wikipedia ww2dbase
