ww2dbaseThe Japanese Type 10 dual-purpose guns were designed for naval use and entered production in 1921. They remained in production through the inter-war years and into WW2, equipping both ships and coastal defense batteries. In 1944, production of these guns surged due to the demands of the war. They fired either high explosive shells or incendiary shrapnel shells. When fired as an anti-aircraft weapon, they had the effective ceiling of 8,500 meters and maximum ceiling of 10,000 meters; when firing at surface targets, the effective rage of 16,000 meters.Source: Wikipedia ww2dbase
