ww2dbaseThe Type 98 So-Da armored transports were built by the Japanese Army using modified hulls of Type 97 Te-Ke tankettes. When used as armored personnel carriers, they had a capacity of 10 passengers; as ammunition armored carriers, the cargo capacity was one ton. They were first deployed in combat zones in China during the Second Sino-Japanese War, and were later deployed to all theaters of WW2 that the Japanese Army took part in. Only a small number of Type 98 So-Da armored transports were produced.
