Famous WW2 Quote
"With Germany arming at breakneck speed, England lost in a pacifist dream, France corrupt and torn by dissension, America remote and indifferent... do you not tremble for your children?"Winston Churchill, 1935

The Tiger had triple interleaving roadwheels
they were mounted on eight independent torsion bar axles, that gave a soft and stable ride for such a large and heavy tank.
This complex system had its drawbacks, the wheels could become packed with snow, ice and mud that could freeze.
The Russians found out about this and timed their attacks early in the morning when the Tigers were likely to be immobilized.
Those two large cylinders next to the gerry can, at the back of the tank, are covers for the Feifel air cleaner system.
