Famous WW2 Quote
"All that silly talk about the advance of science and such leaves me cold. Give me peace and a retarded science."Thomas Dodd, late 1945

Photo shows two Lt. Colonels and one Sergeant. Lt's see if we can't clear this up.
The officer on Goebbels right, looks like his rank could be that of a major, has what looks like silver colored shoulder boards.
I don't see any pips on the boards, he's
wearing officer's M35 Litzen collar devices. Also wearing the older M38/39 uniform with
pleats and scalloped pockets w/dark green collar.
Has two Iron Cross awards and the Infantry Assault Badge, I can't identify ribbon bar above left breast pocket.
Officer on Geobbels left, could be a Major General. Collar is dark green, insigina is gold on red collar tabs don't see any pips on his shoulder boards, can't indenify ribbon bar, wears an eagle device/spang that shows that recipient received 1914 Iron Cross, wound badge the other badge, I can't identify.
Men in background are NCOs and Officers they have been awarded the Iron Cross, Wound badge, Assault Badge and Iron Cross ribbon device worn on second button hole of uniform.
The jackboots were no longer issued by 1943, jackboot production ended altogether, they were replaced with ankle-boots/gaiters.
The different combat badges, wound badges, Iron Cross awarded to the men of the German Wehrmacht, would show the level of combat experience a soldier had in the field.
