Famous WW2 Quote
"With Germany arming at breakneck speed, England lost in a pacifist dream, France corrupt and torn by dissension, America remote and indifferent... do you not tremble for your children?"Winston Churchill, 1935

I remember a royal ulster rifles unit being stationed in lord carnarvons race horse stud close to highclere castle and greenham common airfield during WW2. We used to see them on manouvers and I remember some of them singing nostalgic irish songs in my fathers pub the three legged cross in crux easton.
