Just saw this today. My dad was Russell Connor Thomas (WO-1) who was in the engine room. Thanks for putting this on the Internet! If you have any more shots of the men of the Cuttlefish, please post them!

Norman Vincent Benedict Served on this ship. My High School buddies dad, passed on January 27th 2014.

I have a copy of a similar photo. It turns out its not the same one! My uncle Harry Michael is in 3d row, right behind the seated officers.

He jointed the navy in 1938, and there were returning from San Diego when the Japanese attached Pearl Harbor.

He later served on the Toro, and the Gato.
