Dudley "Mush" Morton was the Commanding Officer of the USS Wahoo SS-238 for a series of highly successful war patrols against Japanese shipping. He rode as a Perspective Commanding Officer (PCO on its second patrol in the Pacific November - December 1942, and as Commanding Officer for its third thorugh its seventh and final patrol. Morton was lost with his ship whan it was sunk on 11 October, 1943.
