In case someone doesn't know what the circles on the side of this armored truck is, they are actually rail way wheels. The Japanese army actually put considerable though in making their wheeled vehicles able to run on railways. The Japanese Army had a Grand Strategy, and there were a considerable number of plans involved that took advantage of rail networks to help along the advance. Railways would be very important in this theater of war, and it is not uncommon to see these trucks carrying supplies down the line near the front, or being used to patrol the railways.
