Famous WW2 Quote
"Among the men who fought on Iwo Jima, uncommon valor was a common virtue."Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, 16 Mar 1945

My German mother was married to a German Paratrooper before she met and married my English father.
His name was Fritz Loges and he was killed just six weeks before the war finished which was witnessed by a Farmer who wrote a letter to my Mother telling her how he died and that they buried him in the local churchyard, where he remains to this day.
