Messerschmitt Bf 110 could belong to ZG 26carrying long range 198 Imp. gal. drop tanksThe Bf 110's did much better than they hadflying against the RAF over the Channel. Flying against P-40 Tomahawks However, bythe end of Ausust 1941 ZG 26 claimed over33 enemy aircraft with a loss of 23 Bf 110's

Bf 110D-3 banking away could belong to oneof ZG 26 "Horst Wessel" Squadrons operatingover North Africa.They were used as air transport groups, andhad excellent range. The Bf 110D Model couldbe used as a long-range destroyer or used as a fighter-bomber. The Bf 110D-3 was armed w/4x7.92mm machine guns in the upper part of the nose, and2x20mm cannons in the lower part, the gunnerwas armed w/1x7.92mm maching gun and could also be fitted with 500kg (1100) bombs.
