ww2dbaseGiran Airfield was located in Giran (now Yilan), Taihoku Prefecture, Taiwan. It was built by the Japanese Army and generally hosted fighters. Several special attack squadrons were based at this airfield at the end of the war. After the war, the airfield was dismantled; the site now served largely as farmland, although one of the small flak towers can still be seen at the time of this writing.
