- A PB4Y-1 aircraft of US Navy VPB-104 squadron took off from Clark Field in the Philippines at 0536 hours to conduct a reconnaissance missiong over eastern Taiwan. At about 0900 hours, after scouting Suo harbor, Taihoku Prefecture (now Su'au Township, Yilan County), the aircraft attacked targets of opportunity, three civilian motored sailboats, by dropping four 500-poung bombs from an altitude of 10,300 feet. ww2dbase [Suo, Taihoku | CPC]
