- A group of Malays massacred 40 Chinese men, women, and children at the village of Padang Lebar near Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan; 17 would be later arrested for this massacre. This was but one of many ethnic incidents in the region during this period. ww2dbase [Padang Lebar, Negri Sembilan | CPC]
