One of the last photographs of the former USS Chester as she was towed out of the Philadelphia reserve fleet on her way to the breakers yard, 1959.This B-17G Fortress saw no service during World War II but was purchased from surplus in 1947 and installed at this gas station in Milwaukie, Oregon with only 37 total hours on the engines, photo circa 1959.
