All three of the United States’ aircraft carriers entering San Francisco Bay in column, USS Lexington (Lexington-class) is followed by USS Ranger which is followed by USS Saratoga, 12 Nov 1936. USS Ranger entering drydock at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, San Francisco, California, United States, 2 Mar 1937. This was the first occasion that a US aircraft carrier entered drydock with aircraft still aboard.
