Yamato Being "Rebuilt" for Upcoming Movie
Sixty years after the end of World War II, the Yamato is being rebuilt at a shipyard in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, for the movie-in-progress, "Otokotachi no Yamato" (Yamato). This is no ordinary movie prop, however. Its dimensions match those of the actual ship, 263 meters from stem to stern and 40 meters wide at the beam.
