WILHELM! WE BUILD 'EM GOOD IN GERMANY:
The few weak spots on a Tiger, were the top, and between the hull and the turret facing front. Another weak spot was the rear just over the engine.
DON'T PULL A TIGER BY THE TAIL:
Tigers could be knocked-out by Artillery and allied tank hunters with close range anti-tank weapons, or ambush with multiple hits on the suspension, front sprockets, road- wheels and rear idlers.
You can knock it out, but you have that first
surprize attack, and to catch a Tiger that way was very rare.
TO KILL A TIGER:
The Allies built thousands of Sherman and T-34s, one-on-one, the Tiger will win tactics
were developed to combat the Tiger, later the
Sherman Firefly mounted the 17 pounder and
every troop of Sherman tanks had one.
To take on the Tiger, the Allies needed five Shermans, to destroy one Tiger, and would loose four.
PRODUCTION WARS:
With over 49,000 U.S.Shermans built and over 50,00 Russian T-34s built during WWII out of a total production of 85,000 against the 1,347 Tigers built it was a no win for the Germans in the production wars.
