There is a 1939 G-4 at the Lyon Air Museum in Santa Ana, CA. This is one of the G-4's that was built for and delivered to Hilter. It is well worth your time going if you find yourself in that area.

Famous WW2 Quote
"No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. You win the war by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country!"George Patton, 31 May 1944

The Mercedes-Benz G-4 W 31 was a heavy-duty
offroad, three axle, six wheeled vehicle.
Powered by a 5 or 5.4 liter eight-cylinder
inline engine of 110hp.
The vehicle was developed for the German Army
However, the vehicle was heavy at 3.7 tons
and too costly to produce.
The vehicle would have faded into automotive
history if not for Adolf Hitler. The G-4 became synonymous with the dictator and time
Total production was 57 cars, today only 3
exist in the world.
One G-4 was used in the 1960s Television
show "Hogan's Heroes"
The name Mercedes-Benz came from:
Mercedes: Named after Emil Jellinek's young
daughter.
Benz: Last name of Carl Benz, who built his first car in 1901
