Famous WW2 Quote

My great-uncle, 1st Lt. Ralph J. Connell, a B-17 pilot, was killed on his first mission. His plane crashed near Wargrave, England shortly after takeoff. Never even made it out of England. All crew but the radio operator were killed. The crash occurred on 13 Nov 1943, the date of the photo above. I wonder if this could be the bomb group he should have been a part of. Any ideas?
