The Marines re-designated the Army L-5 as an OY-1,, so technically the title should say "United States Marine Corps OY-1 aircraft over Naha"

This is actually a Stinson L-5 Sentinel, the Piper L-4 Grasshopper was based on the J-3 Cub.
