Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

TBD-1 of VT-6 dropping its Bliss Leavitt Mk. 13 torpedo. The weapon weighed one ton and
was 15 ft long, 18 inches in diameter.
Torpedo could not be dropped at speeds above
140mph, and a loaded TBD could barely exceed
that speed.
