This shows well the Mines Field facilities as they were by the end of the war. The road running along the right side of the photo is Redondo Blvd (now Aviation Blvd). The road across the center of the photo is Belleview Ave (now Imperial Highway). At the time, this street was also the boundary between Inglewood to the north and El Segundo to the south. The long, flat building south of Belleview Avenue on the left of the photo is the Interstate Aircraft and Engineering Corporation aircraft factory in El Segundo. The five original hangars sit side-by-side along the south side of the flight line. The North American Aviation aircraft factory is seen to the right of the hangars. The corner of the Douglas aircraft factory is in the lower right.
