Dornier Do17Z-2 of(Stab.)KG3 code(5K+EA)a/c was based at Corneilles-en-Vexin, France was shotdown near Biggin Hill, England on August 18,1940.

BAD DAY FOR THE LUFTWAFFE:

German losses August 18, 1940 were between 69 to 71 aircraft lost, 31 were damaged beyond repair.
Crew losses: 94 KIA, 40 POW's & 25 Wounded

Note*

Other sources list the Do17Z-2 as assigned to 9./KG76 but does list aircraft shotdown by a Hawker Hurricane of No.111 Sqd., RAF

Oops! my error in first sentence Do17Z-2 of
Stab/KG3(5K+EA),is listed in another photo here in ww2db.

Guess I got my notes mixed up, but as always clear up my errors and mistakes. Once again I thank the editor/ww2db for starting off another year with me...
