Famous WW2 Quote
"No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. You win the war by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country!"George Patton, 31 May 1944

My father was taken from Holland during 1941-2 to work on Uboats in Hamburg.
His Identification card lists Howaldstwerke as the shipyard where he must have worked.
My father died a few years ago and never wanted to be reminded of his war years in forced labor in Hamburg--he survived the bombing in 1943.
I am seeking information and perhaps a visit to gain a greater understanding of what he went thru and where he may have worked and lived during his time in Hamburg.
I will appreciate any information, contacts or links that you may be able to provide
thank you
