Famous WW2 Quote
"With Germany arming at breakneck speed, England lost in a pacifist dream, France corrupt and torn by dissension, America remote and indifferent... do you not tremble for your children?"Winston Churchill, 1935

Several Curtiss R5C (C-46) transport planes are parked nearby, with a number of TBM Avenger torpedo planes beyond them. The tail of a PBY is at left and a wrecked PB4Y-2 Privateer (B-24) is at right. Six other aircraft are flying in formation over Mt Suribachi.
