12 August 1944 - La Pallice shot by British bombers on fire, maneuverable wreck by Polish destroyer Piorun sunk, 4 dead

My father was on this ship on that on that fateful day which was later sunk by three allied destoyers. When later surrounded that captain refused to raise white flag after the kreigs,marine flag was shot off twice
