This was the first Jewish service held east of the Ruhr River and was in memory of soldiers of the faith lost by the 29th Div, 9th Army. PFC Abraham Mirmelstein of Newport News, Virginia holds the Holy Scroll at left and Corporal Martin Willen of Baltimore, Maryland stands at right.
