Whiting, RAdm M.L. Deyo, RAdm J.C. Jones, Jr., RAdm Alfred E. Montgomery, RAdm Forest Sherman, RAdm Arthur W. Radford, RAdm Frederick C. Sherman, RAdm Joseph J. “Jocko” Clark, RAdm John H. Hoover, FAdm Chester Nimitz, RAdm Glenn B. Davis, RAdm L.J. Wiltse, Cmdr W.R. Carter, RAdm W. Baker. Interestingly not present in this group of Third Fleet admirals was the Third Fleet Commander, Adm William Halsey.
