Sampai awal tahun 70 an masih banyak bangkai kapal di sekitar pelabuhan Cilacap.Bersamaan dengan berdirinya kilang minyak Cilacap bangkai kapal tersebut dibersihkan.Saya tidak tahu apakah bangkai-bangkai kapal tersebut didokumentasi dan diidentifikasi dengan baik .Sayang sekali kalau tidak.Di halaman Setasiun Kereta Api Cilacap ada tugu peringatan dan tiang -tiang beton bekas pengeboman masih terpancang sayang kurang terawat.Tahun enam puluhan saya sering menggembala kambing di tempat tersebut tanpa mengerti mengapa banyak tiang beton pada gosong.
