STRESS OF WAR:
Photo of a much younger looking Sakai in China
Check out other photos of him and you can see the change in his face, as the stress of war shows on him. He looks older in other later photos taken.
WAR MY EXPERIENCE:
Enlisted in the US Army 1966, later went to Vietnam from Germany arrived in Vietnam a younger 20 year old in 1967, by the time I returned home in 1970 I was a much older looking 22 year old Sergeant.
War and stress ages a person what a soldier will see and remember, is beyond normal human experience.
