Photo of FM-1 (Fighter General Motors, first type)in flight aircraft is armed with four 50 caliber machine guns, this is evident because there are only two ejector slots for the spent shells and links under each wing. The F4F-4 built by Grumman, was armed with six 50 caliber machine guns, otherwise the FM-1 was identical to the F4F-4 built by Grumman.

Red border around National Insignia dates this between 28-Jun-1943 and 14-Sep-1943 - only lasted three-and-a-half months.
