The ship in the lower center of the photo approaching the Supply Depot dock is the passenger liner SS Maui, a month before being taken over by the Army as a troop transport. The ship already tied to the Supply Depot dock is the USS Oglala. The craft at right center moving to the left toward the Repair Basin is a fuel barge. The dark tower-like structures in the distance beyond the tank farm is what remains of the coaling station that was Pearl Harbor’s first function for the US Navy dating back to 1903. The coaling station location is where Drydock #4 would be built in 1943 (and remains today).

Beyond the Repair Basins (L to R) are the Marine Barracks, one of the tank farms, Drydocks 1 2 & 3 plus Floating Drydock YFD-2, and Hospital Point. Hickam Field is at upper left next to the harbor’s main entrance. The Supply Base on Kuahua Peninsula is at lower left and Battleship Row is out of frame to the right.
For those who believe a Japanese Midget Submarine was captured on film during the attack, that object would have appeared just off the stern of the tug in the port quarter of the cargo ship at bottom.
