This is Doolittle Crew #16 (16th to fly off Hornet). L to R they are: Lt George Barr (Navigator), Lt William G Farrow (Pilot), Cpl Jacob D DeShazer (Bombardier), Lt Robert L Hite (Co-Pilot), Sgt Harold A Spatz (Engineer/Gunner). All survived the mission after parachuting into China but were quickly captured by the Japanese. Lt Farrow and Sgt Spatz were executed by firing squad in 1942 while the other three survived to the end of the war as POW’s.
