KONRAD WHY DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO CARRY THIS STUFF? BECAUSE ITS YOUR NAME AND ALTMAN MEANS "OLD SERVANT" GET OVER IT MAYBE YOU'LL GET THE HUMAN DONKEY 2ND CLASS W/OAK LEAVES BESIDES OTTO OUR CORPORAL SAYS SO, AND YOU DROPPED YOUR RIFLE REMEMBER.
THE CORPORAL KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING,HE'S KEPT US ALIVE SO FAR. OH,YES OTTO KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING,SO WHY ARE WE WALKING TO THE SOUNDS OF THE GUNS? KONRAD. EXPLAIN THAT TO ME.
KONRAD, YES ALTMAN, THE MEN BEHIND US HAVE STOPPED MAYBE THEY WANT TO GO HOME AND THE CORPORAL ISN'T LOOKING. KEEP MOVING, ALTMAN KEEP MOVING...ON TO PARIS. KONRAD, YES ALTMAN PARIS IS THE OTHER WAY.

LET'S SEE WHAT EQUIPMENT OUR WEHRMACHT TROOPS
ARE CARRYING:

LOOKS LIKE THESE TROOPS COULD BE PART OF THE LUFTWAFFE FIELD DIVISIONS.
LET'S START WITH KONRAD HE'S BEEN ISSUED THE M43 SIDECAP,IF YOU LOOK CLOSE, YOU CAN SEE THE LUFTWAFFE EAGLE INSIGNIA, THE M43 TYPE SPLINTER-CAMOUFLAGE SMOCK, MP40,9MM SUBMACHINE GUN, M43 STEEL HELMET, TRIPLE MAGAZINE AMMO POUCHES, MAP CASE AND OLDER ISSUE JACKBOOTS.

FIELD CAP, BACK PACK, 98K AMMO POUCHES, EXTRA
CAN OF AMMO HE'S CARRYING IN HIS RIGHT HAND, LEFT HAND HIS M43 STEEL HELMET AND LOW CUT ANKLE-BOOTS W/CANVAS GAITERS.

OTTO OUR CORPORAL BEEN ISSUED THE M43 SPLINTER CAMOUFLAGE SMOCK, M43 STEEL HELMET,
MP40,9MM SUBMACHINE GUN,FIELD GLASSES,TRIPLE AMMO POUCHES AND JACKBOOTS.

SOME OF THE LUFTWAFFE FIELD DIVISIONS WERE ISSUED ARMY FIELD GRAY UNIFORMS, BUT MOST FORMATIONS WORE THEIR LUFTWAFFE BLUE GRAY UNIFORMS.
ONCE COMMITTED TO BATTLE, ENEMY FORCES COULD TELL THAT THESE MEN LACKED INFANTRY TRAINING AND SUFFERED HEAVY LOSSES.
