Photo of conning tower of the Type A midget washed ashore on Oahu. Losses: 5 boats at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 the boats were armed with two torpedo tubes forward also the midget submarines had no means of recharging their electric batteries. 3 other boats were lost at Diego Suarez in 1942, and 3 more off the Aleutians in 1942-1943
