MG13 ADOPTED BY THE GERMAN ARMY IN 1931 PRODUCTION CONTINUED INTO 1938 WEAPON WAS CHAMBERED FOR THE 7.92x57mm ROUND CLASSIFIED AS A LIGHT MACHINE GUN.
WEAPON WAS AIR COOLED, RECOIL OEPRATED, RATE OF FIRE 600 ROUNDS PER MINUTE FEED SYSTEM 25 ROUND BOX MAGAZINE AND 75 ROUND DRUM MAGAZINE
SIMILAR IN APPEARANCE TO THE MG34, IT WAS LATER USED BY SECOND-LINE GERMAN UNITS.
